Production Engineering – Assembly Line

Specialist / Assistant Manager
1. Key Responsibilities
1.1 Mass Production Assembly Line

  • Manage Engineering Orders (E.O.) implementation, equipment application, and commissioning activities.
  • Apply and manage assembly line equipment and installation projects for PE vehicle development programs.
  • Review and optimize assembly line operations for low-volume production items to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Improve workability, assemblability, and manufacturability of each assembly process.
  • Develop and implement line improvement plans based on workforce allocation efficiency.
  • Support assembly line relocation projects, including pre-relocation inspections and execution management.
  • Review and implement cycle time improvement initiatives for assembly operations.
  • Evaluate, install, and manage new manufacturing processes and production equipment for assembly lines.

1.2 New Model Assembly Line Development

  • Develop assembly line layouts, establish manufacturing processes, and build automated production lines for new vehicle programs.
  • Review assembly line production capacity (CAPA) and incorporate customer requirements.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and documentation for outsourced equipment fabrication and procurement.
  • Review equipment maker designs and manage fabrication, installation, and commissioning schedules.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and official communications while managing project milestones and schedules.
  • Analyze assembly line investment costs and evaluate the reuse of idle equipment (dedicated, general-purpose, and other equipment).
  • Review manufacturing processes and prepare cost estimates for customer quotations and bidding activities.
  • Conduct try-out activities for new assembly equipment to ensure product quality, including welding and dimensional (DIM) validation.
