Brief Description
MAJOR FUNCTION:
- Validates customer quality issues and assign corrective responsibility
- Prepares corrective actions on quality issues
- Investigates root causes of in-process or customer concerns
- Maintains status of daily customer issues
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs periodic inspection in accordance with the schedule or as needed
- Insures proper inspection techniques are being applied to promote part reliability
- Oversees destruct reporting and result status
- Trains quality inspectors according to annual training plan
- In accordance with schedule, conducts quality audit or quality conference meeting
- Effectively communicates with department team members for customer satisfaction
- Handles and reports customer concerns to relevant departments or team members
- Responsible for maintaining proper documentation as outlined in the procedure
- Controls and responsible for calibration of measuring instruments
- Develops MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
- Analyzes quality performance index, quality cost matrix, etc.
- Updates information f quality information board, quality alert, engineering change order
- Monitors suppliers and perform SPA based on periodic supplier process audit schedule
- Issues nonconformance reports, claims, and other various reports to suppliers
- Follow-up supplier, customer PPAP
- Follow-up engineering level, modification of parts
- Maintains compliances of ISO/TS 16949 requirements and requirements of customer
- Develops supplier periodic inspection schedule and perform periodic inspection on suppliers
- Performs SPC (Statistical Process Control) based on control plan or annual schedule
- Prepares and validates corrective action reports received from relevant departments/suppliers
- Develops and validates counter measure plans for customer concerns
- Initiates process continual improvement
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other duties as assigned
PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or entry level related field experience
- Three years of process improvement experience preferred
- Proficiency in Window Excel, Power Point, Word, CAD required
- An individual must demonstrate strong supervisory, interpersonal, communication skills
- Capability to perform multi-tasks
