Brief Description

This document outlines the responsibilities of the Purchasing Specialist, who plays a vital role in the organization’s procurement strategy and supply chain operations.

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for securing high-quality materials at competitive prices, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient supply center operations.

Responsibilities

  1. General Purchase Management
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier costs, terms, and conditions to optimize profitability and control purchasing expenses.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) to establish and maintain quality standards for purchased materials.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through effective contingency planning and supplier diversification.
  • Manage contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements to protect the organization’s interests and ensure legal compliance.
  • Utilize technology like ERP systems and e-procurement platforms to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Stay informed about market trends and supplier capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive innovation.
  1. Supply and Ordering of KD Products with Ajin Group Affiliates
  • Maintain communication with Ajin Group affiliates regarding product requirements, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Place orders for KD products based on production forecasts, inventory levels, and customer demand.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation for KD product deliveries.
  • Manage inventory levels of KD products to optimize warehouse space and minimize carrying costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Ajin Group affiliates to address concerns and foster collaboration.
  1. Supply Center Operations
  • Enhances operations and equipment maintenance by overseeing efficient exchange of consumables, including safety gear and welding tips.
  • Manage consumable parts inventory within the Supply Center, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing wastage.
  • Place orders for consumable parts based on usage and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Establish efficient distribution processes within the Supply Center for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials.

Prerequisites for the Job

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and SAP
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s degree (related majors)
  • Entry level experience in purchasing or automotive industry preferred
