Brief Description

MAJOR FUNCTION:

  1. Responsible for all production requirements in assigned areas
  2. Safety, training and certification of team members
  3. Ensure quality controls are followed
  4. Utilize “Constant Improvement” philosophy in daily management
  5. Tracking and reporting of daily metrics

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Leadership must target safety first, 3C & 5S principles of manufacturing
  2. Assign daily production requirements and adjust manning as needed
  3. Review daily absences/tardiness/ non-shift completion to ensure adherence of company’s progressive disciplinary policy
  4. Receive daily production order requirements and review specific inventory targets to ensure completion of production requirements
  5. Review reports of all downtimes, quality issues, complete a cause analysis and execute a proper countermeasure plan
  6. Maintain inventory of required completed parts and status of WIP parts
  7. Ensure required equipment inspections are being conducted, properly documented and either recalibrated or replaced
  8. Manage all necessary consumables including welding tips, contact tips, manual welding torch, nozzles, and all other related assembly items
  9. All other support activities outlined by production manager or plant manager

 

PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or (5) plus years of manufacturing experience
  2. Experience in supervising approximately 50 plus employee
  3. Good written and verbal communication abilities
  4. Able to understand and analyze UPH, QA, line OT, and operation efficiency
  5. Leadership ability to handle multitasking in a diverse production goal-oriented work environment

 

Organizational Relationships:

  1. Reports to the Plant Production Manager
  2. Advises, consults, and coordinates with:
    1. Production Team Leader
    2. New or current Production Team Member
